Hoen, A.G. Hoen, Alfred Georges Hoen was born 3 januari 1869 in Bar le Duc and died 26 november 1954 in Paris. Active in the USA from 1918 to 1940. Painter, portraits. After having learned the art of staining glass with Champigneulle, Alfred Hoen went to Paris in 1890. He studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs and the Ecole des Beau Arts, where he was a pupil of Gérome. He was a society portrait artist in france, as well as in the USA but also painted landscapes, seascapes and scenes from both world wars. He settied in France in 1940. Alfred Hoen exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais, of which he became a member in 1910.
